Jin Akanishi is a former member of Johnny's group KAT-TUN, having departed the group in 2010. This was preceded by a brief hiatus from duties with the group between 2006 and 2007. He is now a solo artist, preparing to release his first single and album both in the first quarter of 2011.
Johnny & Associates, Inc. is a talent agency formed by Johnny Kitagawa in 1962. They train and promote groups of male idols, collectively known as "Johnny's", in Japan.
